OVERVIEW
Description
Digital Touch Screen Rockwell Hardness Testing Machine
The Digital Touch Screen Rockwell Hardness Testing Machine from Innotech Engineering Devices Private Limited is a precision material testing instrument designed for accurate, reliable, and repeatable hardness measurement of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Featuring a user-friendly digital touch-screen interface and automatic testing operation, the machine provides a fast and efficient solution for hardness testing in manufacturing industries, quality control laboratories, metallurgical laboratories, research institutions, and material testing facilities.
The Rockwell hardness testing method is widely used for determining the hardness of metallic materials by measuring the permanent depth of indentation produced by a specified indenter under a controlled test force. This digital Rockwell hardness tester automates the testing sequence, including preliminary force application, main test-force application, dwell time, unloading, and hardness value calculation, helping to reduce operator dependency and improve testing consistency.
The machine is suitable for testing a wide range of materials, including hardened and tempered steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, cast iron, mild steel, aluminium alloys, copper alloys, brass, and other engineering metals. Multiple Rockwell hardness scales can be selected according to the material and testing requirement, making the machine suitable for diverse industrial applications.
Key Features
- Digital touch-screen display for easy operation and monitoring
- Automatic load, dwell, and unload testing cycle
- Accurate and repeatable Rockwell hardness measurement
- Supports multiple Rockwell hardness scales
- Digital display of hardness test results
- Adjustable dwell time for different testing applications
- Robust and rigid construction for improved testing stability
- Suitable for ferrous and non-ferrous metals

- Configurations available to meet applicable ASTM E18 and ISO 6508 requirements
Working Principle
In the Rockwell hardness tester, the test specimen is placed securely on the appropriate anvil and the selected indenter is brought into contact with the specimen. The machine first applies the preliminary test force, followed by the selected main test force. After maintaining the required force for the specified dwell period, the main force is removed. The resulting permanent indentation depth is measured by the instrument and converted into the corresponding Rockwell hardness value.
The measured hardness value is displayed digitally on the touch screen, providing convenient and quick access to test results.
